Cleveland, Ohio -  Mr. Gasket's Mallory Ignition is proud to announce a national marketing partnership with the ASA Speed Truck Challenge to provide specialty CT-PRO Ignition Systems to be utilized on all Speed Trucks in 2007. Mallory’s CT-PRO Ignitions have been mandated in the ARCA RE/MAX Series for two seasons with outstanding results, and now ASA Speed Truck Challenge will bring that level of performance and reliability to their series with this new rule change.“We are very excited and proud to have been selected to work with the ASA Speed Truck Challenge starting in 2007,” stated Dennis Rogers, Executive Vice President of The Mr. Gasket Performance Group including Mallory Ignition.

Since Mallory’s CT-PRO Ignitions debuted in the ARCA/REMAX series in 2005, the system, which limits engines to a precisely set RPM level, has logged over a 250,000 laps and nearly 300,000 miles with zero in-race failures - an extremely impressive record in such demanding racing conditions.In addition to wanting to implement a highly dependable, race-proven, top performance ignition system, the goal in mandating these ignitions in the ASA Speed Truck Challenge is to level the playing field for the racers by eliminating the advantage of high RPM, high maintenance from over revving the engines and ultimately higher cost engines. For the ASA Speed Truck Challenge, the specialized Mallory CT-PRO will feature a pre-set 6200 RPM Rev Limiter with +/- 10 RPM, the latest microprocessor-controlled circuitry, and a lightweight aluminum housing, which allows maximum heat transfer.

The CT-PRO delivers maximum performance with a lower current draw, as well as quicker acceleration and improved throttle response.The ignitions are ready to run, and bolt right onto the dashboard of the Speed Trucks for easy plug-in access using the conventional 6-pin connection used by most of the harness manufacturers. ASA Speed Truck Challenge officials will test the systems RPM limit and traction control at initial inspection for optimum performance. The system will again be inspected for RPM accuracy after each racing event.
