| How You Can Get Involved in Speed Truck Ministries |
|
ASA Speed Truck Ministries will be a non-profit 501©3 organization. Paperwork is currently being filed to establish an EIN number with the IRS and the State of California. In the meantime, the Ministries is soliciting your help to make this dream come true for Don Tatman, ASA Speed Truck Challenge Chaplain. If you would like to get involved in this ministry and help it to achieve its mission with this and beyond, please see our needs list found below. In addition to the mission goals set out in a prior document, it is the goal of the Speed Truck Ministries to create a “Ministries’ Show Truck” that can be used in malls and businesses the day prior to each ASA STC race to exhibit. The obvious opportunities that this presents are huge. Not only can we promote the series and get more fans out to the race track on Saturdays; but we can have an opportunity to witness and hand out materials to thousands of the public. Fortunately, Colin Dickinson, owner of Truck Works, Inc. has graciously offered to donate one of their Speed Trucks for this purpose. Kyle Tatman, (Don’s son and ASA STC driver) has volunteered to be the Ministries Show Truck driver at each display opportunity. Toyota just delivered a brand new 2007 Double Cab Tundra V-8 pickup for us to use to pull the Hospitality trailer. A big thanks to Colin Dickinson at Truck Works, Inc. and Mark Amstock at Toyota corporate for making this happen! We are now on our way towards making this complete ministry goal a reality! To continue this opportunity and fulfill our on and off track goals, the Ministry needs the following: -Referral or donation of the use of a 20’ trailer to haul the Ministries Show Truck and all the hospitality gear to each race; -Referral or donation of a new paint job on the Ministries Show Truck for display; -Referral or donation of four new Hoosier tires to go on the Ministries Show Truck; -Referral or donation of two large grills for BBQ’s to be held for all STC participants at the track each race Saturday; -Referral or donation of two large Speed Truck Ministries banners; -Donations to offset the cost of Don Tatman’s travel expenses to be at every ASA STC race (Don lives in Tucson); -Prayer for the Speed Truck Ministries that we would see God's hand bless our mission. Thanks to Jay Rutherford, president of the ASA Speed Truck Challenge for his support of this effort and we look forward to great things happening in the future for the series!
