1. COMPETING SPEED TRUCK MODEL BODIES 

A. Chevy S-10, Chevy Colorado, Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota, Toyota Tacoma 

2. CHASSIS / SUSPENSION 

A. ASA Speed Truck Challenge approved full tubular chassis only, purchased from ASA Speed Truck Challenge authorized and official manufacture, only.  (Circle Track Fabrication @ Scott King - 951-440-0730 or Dallas Leininger - 951-858-6247) 

B. Tubular upper A-Arms from any manufacturer as long as they are 8" or 9" with bolt in, pressed in, or screw in, maximum 10 degree angle ball joints. 

C. Tubular lower control arms for press in ball joints 15.6" only, HOWE part #22835 or ALLSTAR part # ALL56180, maximum overall length shall not exceed 16" measured from center of ball joint at zerk fitting to center of heim joint. 

Tubular lower control arms for screw in ball joints, 15.6" only, LEFTHANDER- part # 001-17155 (left) or 229615 only, maximum overall length shall not exceed 16" measured from center of ball joint at zerk fitting to center of heim joint, may be used with the following screw in ball joints and specified stud lengths. 

LOWER CONTROL ARMS - SCREW IN BALL JOINTS W / STUD LENGTHS

D. Lower arm mounting holes must be no more than 16.75" center to center. 

E. Offset chassis and/or offset roll cages are not allowed. 

F. Three link type rear suspension, only. 

G. Traction control devices of any kind are not permitted. 

H. Drop spindles are not permitted.  Aftermarket spindles - Hype part # HYP0011or Sweet part  only.  (Circle Track Fabrication @ Scott King - 951-440-0730 or Dallas Leininger - 951-858-6247) 

I. QA-1 adjustable, aluminum body, coil over shocks, base part # 62-7 (7 inch stroke) for the front and base part # 62-9 (9 inch stroke) for the rear (add your own re-valve number after the 62-7 and 62-9, for front or rear, respectively). (or)PRO adjustable shocks, part # AC7 (front), # AC9 (rear) aluminum body coil over shocks, (re-valving is permitted with stock components only), may be used for the 2008 racing season. 

J. SPEEDWAY ENGINEERING aluminum front hubs - part #5301-10 (or) Hype hubs part #HYP0010 (or)  and WILWOOD rotors -part #160-0471 or part # 160-0483 for the fronts and part #160-0471 or part # 120-6426 for the rears. Slotted, curved vein rotors are legal for use and as an example; Lefthander part # 019-299-3200-4001. 

K. No lifting or shaking of chassis, or excessive air pressure (25 pounds maximum) in left side tires for frame or valance minimum height check, no pushing truck from left side upon entrance to technical inspection area. 

L. Panhard bar or track bar axle housing mount must be no less than 13" from the center line of axle housing to end of mount and the mount must be placed to the rear or behind the quick change rear end, towards the fuel cell only. The panhard bar must be 22" in length (+ or - .5") and the panhard bar axle mount must be 13" in length (+ or - .5") overall, measured from center of heim joint to center of axle housing. QUICK CAR adjustable pan hard bar - part #67-340 only, is permitted. (we strongly suggest and highly recommend a 1/8" plate be affixed to the front of the fuel cell cage to avoid potential piercing of the fuel cell by the panhard bar or related assemblies)(see Addendums for clarification)

M. Sway bars shall be mounted with eyelet bolts mounted through the frame and connected to right side lower A-Arm and floating from the left side lower A-Arm with no attachment. Solid mounting for road course racing is permitted. Aftermarket sway bars are legal as long as they are one piece, bent bars, in tubular steel with a minimum length of 41" and a maximum length of 45" and solid mounted on right side and floating to left side strike plate. Eyelet bolt bushings are legal. LEFTHANDER - part # 041-2371 

N. Spring rubbers may be used. 

3. WHEEL BASE / ENGINE LOCATION 

A. 108" wheel base (+ or - .5" only, total between both sides), front tread width is 62" maximum, rear tread width is 60" maximum (+ or - .5" only)

B. Engine must be centered in chassis with no offsets and no lowering of engine. 

C. Engine set back is 3.25" from center of lower control arm pivot point to front of engine block where machined for front motor mount plate. 

D. A minimum 10" (at 3.5" left frame rail ground clearance) from ground to centerline of crankshaft pulley or balancer must be maintained at all times and the oil pan cannot be lower than .5" below the cross member. 

4. REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY 

A. SPEEDWAY ENGINEERING, Super Max quick change rear end only, 56.5" wide with aluminum drive plates - part # 8500 A-9, only. No lightening of any rear end / quick change internal parts. 

B. No offset rear ends, rear ends must be in center of chassis (+ or - .5" only) 

C. 60" (+ or - .5") rear tread width measured outside edge of tire to inside edge of opposite tire. 

D. Aluminum spools only, no limited slip or lockers are permitted. 

E. Gun drilled, hollowed or lightweight axles are not permitted, minimum weight of each axle is 10.5 pounds. 

F. Cambered rear ends are not permitted; rear sway bars are not permitted. 

5. ENGINE 

A. Van Gordon ASA Crate Engine must be built and sealed by Van Gordon Racing Engines, Inc., only. New engines, rebuilt engines and freshened engines are available. (Jim Van Gordon @ 909-946-5991) 

B. GM BOWTIE intake manifolds only and must be purchased and installed from and by Van Gordon Racing Engines, Inc. No molesting of any kind permitted to the intake manifolds. (Jim Van Gordon @ 909-949-5991)

C. Stock type fuel pumps only, electric or piston driven fuel pumps are not permitted. 

D. Complete engine assembly must remain exactly as received from Van Gordon Racing Engines. 

E. Engines with broken or tampered seals will result in complete tear down and inspection at owner's expense. If illegal or unapproved parts are discovered the complete engine assembly will be confiscated and not returned and will result in disqualification, fines, suspension, loss of points, loss of purse and loss of Driver Points Fund. 

F. Engine repairs must be completed by Van Gordon Racing Engines (Jim Van Gordon 909-946-5991) only, and after notification to the ASA Speed Truck Challenge. In the event of complete engine failure, a new sealed engine must be purchased from Van Gordon Racing Engines, Inc., only. 

G. An engine claim rule is in effect for the ASA Speed Truck Challenge. The engine claim is $7,500.00 (cash only) and you cannot claim a top ten engine unless you are top ten in the points and you cannot exercise more than one claim per racing season. (see Addendums for clarification)

H.  Valve springs may be changed however, seat pressure cannot exceed 115 pounds and open pressure cannot exceed 240 pounds with engine at normal operating temperatures. 

I. Roller rockers are not permitted and rocker arms must remain stock at 1.5 ratios only. 

J. Poly locks, screw in studs and rocker arm stud girdles are permitted. (Jim Van Gordon @ 909-946-5991) 

6. CARBURETORS 

A. HOLLEY 4412, 2BBL, 500 CFM with 1 11/16" throttle bore only. Air horn and/or choke tower must remain in stock configuration at all times with no milling of any kind. (a 4BBL carburetor is currently being tested. If adopted for use, the 4BBL will be a "special no-touch" 4 BBL, with claim rule)

B. Aftermarket metering blocks are permitted. 

C. A single 1" 4BBL to 2BBL adaptor in wood composite (Phenolic Plate) or aluminum (+ or - .05") but cannot exceed .60" overall. Chamfering of adaptor plates are not permitted and must remain "no touch" at all times. 

D. Heat deflection plates are not permitted, atomizing screens are not permitted, gasket thickness cannot exceed .065" and only one gasket between manifold and adaptor and only one gasket between carburetor and adaptor are permitted. 

E. K&N air filter units only, part # 61-2000 with 4" K&N element only, the element, filter assembly, or the area around these items cannot be sprayed or soaked with any type of chemical, liquid, powder or gel, except K&N air filter oil. Aluminum constructed top and bottom air cleaner system may be used however, part # SCP-AC-602-ACO, only. 

F. Air ducting to the air cleaner is not permitted. No loose hoses in or around air filter area. 

G. All carburetor bodies must be produced by HOLLEY, only. 

H. A carburetor claim rule is in effect for the ASA Speed Truck Challenge. The carburetor claim is $2,500.00 (cash only) and you cannot claim a top ten carburetor unless you are top ten in the points and you cannot exercise more than one carburetor claim per racing season. (see Addendums for clarification) 

7. DISTRIBUTORS 

A. Mallory COMP S/S 9000 Billet Distributor, only. Mallory CT PRO Endurance Racing Ignition 6200 Rev Limiter Box, only. Mallory CT PRO Endurance Racing Coil, only. ACCEL 300+ Ferro-Spiral Race Wire with Pro Heat Sleeves, only.  The Mallory Ignition Box and Coil are mounted on a factory supplied 9 inch by 12 inch aluminum plate and this component plate system must be mounted on the right side of dash on all Speed Trucks within easy reach from passenger side window for technical inspections. Mallory has supplied the ASA Speed Truck Challenge with a "GO / NO GO" electronic metering device and an electronic test device for proper wiring and 6200 Rev Limiter checks. The system automatically retards the timing by 20 degrees for easy restarts from red flag or overheating conditions. (Complete system costs approximately $500.00 and the system is owned by each Speed Truck Owner/Driver) 

8. TRANSMISSIONS 

A. GM, 2 speed direct drive transmission use of a hand operated, hydraulic valve transmission lock up system (band apply) is permitted. This system allows the Speed Trucks to be push started. However, with the new Mallory ignition system, the engine will re-fire due to automated retard timing built into system. 

B. Minimum weight of transmission is 95 pounds, without fluid. No lightening of internal parts or case. 

C. No tail house bearings, Billet input shafts are permitted. 

D. Transmissions must be vented to a 1 quart catch can of metal construction only or re-vented to tail shaft housing.

9. WHEELS / WEAR PLATES / SPACERS 

A. ASA Speed Truck Challenge approved wheels only. All wheels must be 8" x 15" with a mandatory 4" backspace,minimum weight is 19 pounds. Allied Racing Wheels are strongly suggested, and highly recommended.  (Robbie Moore Parts Trailer @ 760-802-1813 or 909-473-2618) 

B. Wheel studs and lugs must be 5/8". 

C. No air bleeders, no tire soaking, no tire treatment or softeners of any kind are permitted. 

D. All Hoosier Racing Tires (2040 left sides and 2070 right sides) right must be purchased from Robbie Moore, only (909-473-2618 / 760-802-1813). 

E. Mandatory wear plate's 1/16" thickness, 7" outside diameter and 3.5" inside diameter in billet aluminum or steel are required on all four wheels. Maximum ½" total, spacers may be used on the Speed Trucks.

F. Front tread width is 62" maximum (+ or - .5" only), rear tread width is 60" maximum (+ or - .5" only) 

10. BRAKES 

A. Stock cast iron GM OEM calipers or GM rebuilt calipers from LEFTHANDER - part numbers: 134-4071 right rear, 134-4072 left rear, 134-4020 right front, 134-4021 left front or any OEM style brake caliper in aluminum or steel, single piston, with a maximum piston diameter of 2 15/16" may be used. Wilwood calipers part # 120-5289 for the front and part # 120-6426 for the rear, are strongly suggested and highly recommended. 1.25" rotors are allowed and slotted, veined rotors are allowed. (Circle Track Fabrication @ Scott King - 951-440-0730 or Dallas Leininger - 951-858-6247) 

B. All 4 brakes must be in perfect working condition at all times. 

C. Any pedal and master cylinder assembly is permitted. 

D. Electric blowers for brake cooling and electric blowers for radiators, distributors, and drivers are permitted. No air hoses to the air cleaner! 

E. Brake adjusting devices from inside driver compartments are permitted, brake fluid re-circulators are not permitted. 

F. Brake pads are of your choice. (we are currently looking at sponsored brake pads by Performance Friction) 

11. STEERING 

A. GM OEM steering box with power steering, AGR or SWEET boxes in 12:1 or 16:1 ratios. 

B. Rack and pinion steering is not permitted. 

12. ROLL BARS / CHASSIS 

A. Minimum outside diameter of roll bars must be maintained at 1.75" @ .090 only. 

B. Minimum of 4 roll bars on left side of truck are required with left side door bars surrounding driver with minimum 1/8" steel plates. 

C. Main frame bars (center section) and front and rear stub bars must be 2" x 3" x .095 minimum.

D. All front, rear and center section clips and the chassis, must be purchased from authorized manufacture/dealer, only. (Circle Track Fabrication @ Scott King - 951-440-0730 or Dallas Leininger - 951-858-6247) 

E. All roll bars within driver's reach/vicinity must be covered with "high impact" safety padding only. Light foam padding is not permitted in this area but is legal for all other areas inside the Speed Truck cockpit/cab.

F. Modifications to the chassis or any related part thereof are not permitted at any time. Additions and/or deletions of any kind to any part of the chassis are not permitted at any time or in any manner. Complete chassis, front, rear or center section clips must be purchased from the official ASA Speed Truck Challenge authorized manufacture only.(Circle Track Fabrication @ Scott King - 951-440-0730 or Dallas Leininger - 951-858-6247) 

13. BODIES 

A. All body panels except tonneau cover must be fiberglass and approved by the ASA Speed Truck Challenge, and must retain stock appearance at all times. No modification of any panels by cutting from or adding to same, except for tire clearance shaving. 

B. Any vent type devices added to body must have exact direction with appropriate hose thus disallowing air escape with no venting of air from underneath body. 

C. Front and rear Plexiglas (LEXAN) windows must be at least 1/8" thick. Driver and passenger side windows must maintain a minimum opening of at least 22" as measured both horizontally and vertically, at all times. 

D. All bodies must be mounted so that the lowest part of the body is not lower than the frame with minimum ground clearance of at least 3.5" (with driver) and must fit together granting appearance of continuity and style to all of the Speed Trucks. 

E. All series sponsor, contingency sponsor, presenting sponsor and ASA Speed Truck Challenge decals must appear on all Speed Trucks at all times including practice and qualifying sessions and be in perfect looking condition. Speed Truck reserves the right to assign or restrict the display of decals, identification or advertising on the Speed Trucks. 

F. Numbers on both doors and roof must be at least 22" wide and 22" tall, chrome vinyl is not permitted. All Speed Trucks must carry their number in a size of 4"x 4" to the right side of the windshield just below the title sponsor decal and on the right side rear window bottom or on right rear bumper. No X's or duplicate numbers at any time. 

G. Head lights and tail lights in vinyl decals or paint are mandatory at all times. 

H. Air cleaner bolt access hole drilled in cowl or hood, cannot exceed 1.5" in diameter. 

I.  The rear portion of hood panel must cover cowl and cannot exceed 1.5" in height from top of cowl and cowl must be affixed to front windshield. The panel behind the driver between the cross bar and bottom of rear window must be sealed at all times. 

J. Front spoiler air dam or valance must be constructed of fiberglass, poly propylene, plastic or rubber, no metal and cannot exceed an overall width of 72" and must maintain a minimum of 3.5" ground clearance at all times with driver in Speed Truck. 

K. The right and left quarter panels measured in front of rear wheels cannot exceed an overall width of 72" at any time. 

L. All Speed Trucks must demonstrate a quality and professional look at all times and cannot compete with excessive duct tape or in primer for longer than one week or from one race to another. 

M. All Speed Trucks must have a rear view mirror placed at the top and center of the windshield and no mirrors can be extended outside of the body. 

N. Rear deck lids or tonneau cover must remain flat to top of rear quarter panels with no spacing, shimming or lifting. 

O. All Speed Trucks must carry the driver's last name on both sides of the Speed Trucks just under the door numbers in a size of not less than 3" tall. All Speed Truck drivers must have ASA Speed Truck Challenge, ASA, Hoosier and other uniform patches that may be required, on their driving suits at all times. 

P. The use of Hood Hold Down Plates are legal as long as the plates are affixed to the front bumper cover top and cannot exceed 1.5" tall by 55" wide and cannot exceed an angle of 35 degrees and must demonstrate style and continuity to the Speed Truck body.

14. SEAT BELTS / SAFETY ITEMS 

A. SFI approved seat belts only and such belts cannot be older than 24 months from manufacturing date and must be a minimum of 3" wide. Suggested twin wrap around shoulder harness, bolt in lap belt, wrap around or bolt in crotch straps to be used. If the manufactured date is removed, a purchase receipt must be made immediately available to the official staff for date verification. Without verification of manufactured date, the belts will have to be replaced before practice, qualifying or racing. 

B. Sprint Car nets, helmet restraint straps are highly recommended. C. All seat belt systems must have center crotch belt of 1.75" wide minimum or six point. 

D. Full face helmets with Lexan face shields are mandatory. 

E. Helmet must be Snell 2000 SA approved with no signs of any damage or wear. 

F. A "Head and Neck" restraint system is mandatory for all competitors and cannot be older than 24 months from manufactured date. If the manufactured date is removed, a purchase receipt must be made immediately available to the official staff for date verification. This rule is not applicable to the "HANS" except for the attachment hardware used on same. 

G. SFI 16-1 or SFI 16-5 approved fire suit, driving gloves and driving shoes are mandatory. 

15. WINDOW NETS 

A. SFI approved window nets only and must be a minimum of .5" ribbon, string nets are not allowed. SFI approved window nets with manufacturing date within 3 years of current use and must be verified by manufacture tag or receipt. 

16. SEATS / SUPPORTS 

A. Aluminum racing seats are mandatory and must have both right and left head supports and right and left leg supports, and right and left shoulder supports, at all times. The seat must be mounted to the roll cage and floor cross bar with minimum of 2 bolts in top and 2 bolts in bottom of seat with 3/8" bolts and lock nuts. 

17. DRIVE SHAFTS 

A. All drive shafts must be painted white with your Speed Truck number clearly printed on them in black.  Aluminum or carbon fiber drive shafts are not permitted and each drive shaft must weigh a minimum of 15 pounds. 

18. STARTERS 

A. All Speed Truck starters must be in perfect working order at all times. Speed Trucks must start under their own power or be push started or they will be placed to the rear of the field. 

19. BATTERY / ELECTRICAL / ALTERNATORS 

A. Battery must be mounted behind driver's compartment and outside the driver's compartment and in front of rear axle assembly on right or left sides, one battery only is allowed. 

B. Dry cell batteries are permitted. 14 and 16 volt batteries are not permitted.

C. 12 volt charging systems only, with maximum 14 volts output. 

D. Alternators are permitted but must be mounted to the engine and not the chassis or as a combination unit in the water pump as exampled by a Racemate Alternator system. Power output from charging system shall go directly to one battery, only. 

E. Master electronic cut off switch must be located within drivers reach and accessible from outside of Speed Truck by track and/or ASA Speed Truck Challenge officials. 

F. V-Belt pulley systems only, serpentine belt systems are not permitted.

20. FUEL SYSTEMS / FUEL 

A. 15-gallon bladder fuel cell required with foam and rollover valves and bladder cannot be older than 5 years from manufacture date. 

B. Fuel cell must be enclosed in steel box with a minimum 1" x 1" tube frame. 

C. ASA Speed Truck Challenge approved fuel only (Torco Race Fuel) with no fuel additives of any kind and all fuel must be purchased from Robbie Moore, only (909-473-2618 or 760-802-1813) for practice, qualifying and racing. 

D. Cooling or icing of any fuel or fuel component or assembly of same (intake manifold) is not permitted at any time. 

E. Fuel cells must be located as per original manufacturing location in center of rear chassis, front to back, and original height. Movement of fuel cell from right to left is permitted, but not up or down. 

21. RADIATORS 

A. Aluminum radiators with electric cooling fans and minimum 1 quart metal overflow tanks are mandatory. 

B. Radiators cannot be moved from stock location. 

C. No antifreeze or coolants are permitted, water wetter is highly recommended. 

D. Shroud plates of aluminum or plastic only on both sides and top and bottom of radiator are permitted but cannot exceed 12" in length from rear of radiator. 

22. MINIMUM / MAXIMUM WEIGHTS / PERCENTAGES 

A. Minimum weight of each Speed Truck is 2,650 pounds with driver.

B. Minimum ground clearance is 3.5" with driver in Speed Truck measured at left front and left rear bottom frame rails. Body cannot exceed minimum ground clearance rule measurement at any time. 

C. Minimum ground clearance for air dam or front valance is 3.5" measured at front of truck with driver seated. 

D. Maximum rear weight is 49% and 51% front, with driver in Speed Truck. 

E. Maximum left side weight is 57%, with driver in Speed Truck. 

F. No lifting or shaking of chassis for minimum heights inspection, no excessive air pressure (25 pounds maximum) in left side tires for technical inspections. 

G. All Speed Trucks will be weighed/scaled on ASA Speed Truck Challenge scales and/or track scales and these scales are the only method for determining a Speed Truck’s legal weight and percentages under technical inspections. 

23. ADDED WEIGHT 

A. All added lead weight must be painted white or wrapped with white duct tape and has your Speed Truck number clearly printed in black. All added lead weight must be secured with a minimum of 2 - .5" bolts and lock nuts. All added weight must be secured and immobile in right and left frame rails, battery box or bolted directly to chassis. No aluminum brackets. $20.00 per pound fine will be imposed for infraction of this rule. 

24. SPOILERS 

A. The minimum rear spoiler angle is 35 degrees and the maximum angle is 65 degrees with a maximum height or length from tonneau cover bottom to top of spoiler is 7" and spoiler only, must be at least 6" tall. Maximum overall width of spoiler cannot exceed 58". Spoilers may be affixed to the rear bumper cover separate of the tonneau cover. 

B. Spoiler stiffeners may be used but cannot exceed a total of 6 and must be affixed to the rear of the spoiler only.

25. EXHAUST SYSTEMS 

A. ASA Speed Truck Challenge approved headers only (SCHOENFELD part # 135H) are permitted with a 3" pipe from flange on right and a 3" pipe from slip joint on left to Y-pipe configuration also of 3" diameter, into a 3.5" in SPIN TECH muffler only, (part # STC-02) and out to 3.5" pipe behind the driver compartment or exit the right side of the Speed Truck quarter panel maintaining at all times 3" to 3.5" exhaust system. All exhaust pipes must be inside of body quarter panel by at least .5" in slip joint or slide system. 

B. No merge collectors or pickles, no milling or grinding of flanges or modification of header assembly is permitted. No stepped headers. The header assembly starts at the flange bolted to the exhaust port of the engine and continues through the collectors, through the flanges and slip joints, through the Y- pipe configuration and muffler completing its known definition of assembly at the tip of the tail pipe. 

C. No molesting, grinding, adding to or taking from any internal areas of the exhaust system assembly is permitted; ceramic coating applied to the inside and outside of the headers is permitted. 

26. TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS 

A. All Speed Trucks are subject to technical and safety inspections by track and ASA Speed Truck Challenge officials in any manner deemed necessary and appropriate by those officials. All owners and/or drivers must take whatever steps requested by track and ASA Speed Truck Challenge officials to facilitate technical inspections of the Speed Trucks including complete tear down and taking possession of the Speed Truck for extensive inspection if required. All tear downs and inspection costs are the responsibility of each Speed Truck driver. 

B. Only those persons approved by track and ASA Speed Truck Challenge officials may have presence in or around the technical inspection areas. Only the driver and 1 or 2 crew members (as announced by official staff) are permitted in the technical inspection area. All others must remain a minimum of 25 feet from technical inspection area at all times. 

C. Any driver that refuses pre qualifying, pre or post race technical inspection will immediately be disqualified, fined, suspended or all three and will lose accumulated championship points and purse and Driver Points Fund. 

D. Absolutely no arguing with ASA Speed Truck Challenge or track officials at any time. 

E. Prior to qualifying, all Speed Trucks must pass safety and technical inspections, time allowing from track to track. The orders in which your inspections are to be completed are established by Championship Points order or practice times, dependent upon race track venue. This rule will hold true for pre race technical inspections as well, with the lineup order being established by your starting position after inversion, if any. The communications board located at the Speed Truck Tech Trailer will denote your inspection order. Failure to line up in stated order prior to qualifying may cause your qualifying laps to be reduced. Failure to line up in stated order prior to main event may cause you to start last. All Speed Trucks that have passed safety and technical inspection are placed onto the grid under a "no touch" ruling. Adjustments allowed are as follows: air pressures, tape on windshield, battery chargers, and driver comfort, only. No removing or lifting of hood, no lifting of tonneau cover. 

F. PROTESTS; A protest fee of $3,500.00 (cash only) can be posted by any Driver who alleges another Driver is violating or infracting the ASA Speed Truck Challenge rules. Deliver $3,500.00 in cash to Speed Truck Challenge, Inc., accompanied with a written complaint containing any and all alleged or assumed violations or rule infractions to be investigated. The ASA Speed Truck Challenge will cause a complete and formal investigation into the alleged rules infractions. Should the investigation prove a rules violation or infraction of any kind, the illegal part or parts, including complete assemblies involved in the violation or infraction will be confiscated, and the Driver may be disqualified, suspended, fined or all previously mentioned. All cost involved in the investigation will be the total responsibility of the accused Driver including but not limited to the engine inspection fee performed by Van Gordon Racing Engines, Inc. Should no violations or rule infractions be found during the investigation, all cost involved in the investigation, including but not limited to the engine inspection fee, will be the total responsibility of the claimant. Any balance remaining from the $3,500.00 Protest Fee will be paid to the Driver accused of rules infractions, for their expense and inconvenience and loss of time.

27. CONDUCT

A. Unsportsmanlike conduct, on or off the track or in and around the pit or paddock areas where the ASA Speed Truck Challenge competes, will not be tolerated at any time or under any circumstance. This includes but is not limited to; owners, drivers, crew people, family members, friends, sponsors, etc. Substantial fines, suspension and indefinite removal from the ASA Speed Truck Challenge will be imposed for infraction of this rule. Driver is held responsible for the above parties. NO EXCEPTIONS! 

B. Unsportsmanlike conduct in the Spotters Tower will not be tolerated. When asked by track or ASA Speed Truck Challenge officials to comply with their rulings you must act immediately and without question or the spotter will be removed from the tower and the represented Speed Truck will be black flagged and removed from the race track, NO EXCEPTIONS! 

C. The issuance of a threat from one member to another member of the ASA Speed Truck Challenge, or to anyone else for that matter, will cause immediate disqualification, suspension, fines, loss of Championship Points and loss of Drivers Points Fund. Threats will not be tolerated at any time. NO EXCEPTIONS! 

28. TELEMETRY 

A. Telemetry or data collection devices of any kind are not permitted at any time, except memory recall tachometers. 

29. RADIOS / TRANSPONDERS / SPOTTERS 

A. Two-way radios with qualified spotter, in designated spotters' tower, for the Speed Truck driver are mandatory at all times the Speed Truck is on the track for practice, qualifying or racing. If the spotter leaves the spotters tower for any reason during practice, qualifying or the race, the corresponding truck will be immediately black flagged and removed from the track. No Spotter in the Tower, No Speed Truck on the Track!  Spotters must spot from the designated spotter's tower and from no other place. NO EXCEPTIONS! 

B. Transponders are employed at certain race tracks the ASA Speed Truck Challenge competes. The location of the transponder on the Speed Truck chassis must be mounted no more than 24" forward of the most rear point of the chassis but not to be in front of the upright bar where the pan hard bar adjuster is mounted. 

C. Two way communications between Speed Truck drivers (truck to truck) during competition is not permitted at any time or in any Speed Truck. 

D. All spotters must wear the approved ASA Speed Truck Challenge spotters badges and no others, when in the spotters tower. The spotter's badges are a refundable $20.00 each. All spotters must attend all Driver/Spotter meetings. All spotters must be in the designated spotter's tower in numerical order, as per track and/or ASA Speed Truck Challenge officials, and nowhere else for practice, qualifying, racing or any time the Speed Truck is on the track.  ""No Spotter in the Tower...No Speed Truck on the Track"

NO EXCEPTIONS!! 

30. INVOICES 

A. All ASA Speed Truck Challenge invoices are due and payable upon receipt and are the ultimate responsibility of the driver. Unpaid or outstanding invoices will result in credit hold and immediate loss of track time which includes: practice, qualifying and racing. Any outstanding invoices due Speed Truck vendors and/or suppliers will also fall under this rule.
